“This release offers a beautiful balance between vibrancy and richness. The aromas and flavors of lavender, anise, red and black plum, black cherry, cardamom, wet earth, and forest floor are all energetic and enticing. The tannins are both silky and ripe making this a wine to enjoy now and return to again for even more depth and delicacy in a few years.” — Elias Fernandez, winemaker

Malbec is a relative newcomer to Napa Valley and we have loved the challenge of taking on something new. With this latest vintage we are pleased with the wine’s deep color, lifted aromas, and vibrant flavors. We give it 20 months in 75% new oak to allow it to take on a bit of heft and richness and to speak purely of its varietal character, a generous mix of black and red fruit.

“ … bold and punchy, yet remains very nicely lifted, with expressive floral notes that add brightness to the varietal red-toned.”
— Antonio Galloni
